In the Spring of 1994, moe. recorded Headseed, officially quitting their day jobs, and all moved to Albany, NY. Headseed was the band's second studio release. The track "St. Augustine" would show up again on the band's 1996 major label debut No Doy. Jim Loughlin had recently joined the band on drums, but left the band in June of 1995 to pursue another band named Yolk, from Binghamton, NY. In early 1999, Loughlin returned to the lineup on percussion, flute, backup bass, acoustic guitar, and washboard.

"I have all of the studio moe. cds and this one is definately the best. songs like Recreational Chemistry, Time Ed, Brent Black, Yodelittle, and timmy tucker are all live favorites. No Doy whould be second best, then Fatboy. But seeing them live beats anything. Definatly pick this up if you liked Fatboy or No Doy." -- Mike D., Amazon
