The FortePiano Trio performs trios by Mendelssohn, Weber, and Martinu on this 24-bit recording from Velut Luna.

Mendelssohn's Trio in D Minor was originally written for violin, cello, and piano; however, it was also arranged for flute, cello, and piano by Mendelssohn himself. Written in 1840, the trio was highly praised by Robert Schumann, who said, "It is today's master trio, a work of art which in the years to come will no doubt continue to entertain our offspring." Carl Maria von Weber's Trio in G minor was composed between 1818 and 1819, and is one of the few works from the early classical era to feature a flute in such a chamber music setting. Bohuslav Martinu was a Czech-American composer who wrote his Trio in F Major in 1944.
