This new release features Baroque Concertos for Flute, Viola, Strings and Basso continuo, performed in historical costumes by the Quantz Collegium at the "Sala Terrena" (Garden Hall) of Rastatt Favorite Castle in Germany, splendidly recorded and produced by Andreas Otto Grimminger and Josef-Stefan Kindler for their series "Klangräume" (Soundscapes). Quantz Collegium has been performing for more than six decades. Their goal is to bring the lesser known composers of the Baroque and Classical periods into the public eye. To help preserve the music of the past in its great diversity, the ensemble also performs in historical costumes. This makes their concerts a memorable and incredible experience. The ensemble has also recorded three previous albums, all of which have been warmly received by critics.
