John "Bucky" Pizzarelli is a leader of the movement that keeps mainstream and traditional jazz alive. After touring with Vaughan Monroe's dance band and recording RCA in his early year, he joined the staff of NBC in 1952. It was there that he played in the Doc Severinson Band on the Tonight Show.
