Charles Munch was a symphonic conductor and violinist. Munch studied the violin at the Strasbourg Conservatoire where his father was a professor. In 1992, Munch made his Paris debut as a conductor of the self-financed concert with the Straram Orchestra. The concert was confirmation on his decision to pursue a career as a conductor.
