Blue Note Records

About The Label
Blue Note Records was founded in New York by German-born record executive Alfred Lion in 1939. The label was responsible for some of the world’s finest jazz releases, boosting a roster that included greats Fats Navarro, Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins among others. Today, the label has spanned its scope, now featuring legendary singer-songwriters Norah Jones, Amos Lee and R&B legends like Al Green and Anita Baker, all while maintaining the best roster of current jazz talents.
