Tuareg guitarist, singer, and songwriter Omara “Bombino” Moctar teams up with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dan Auerbach for his Nonesuch Records’ debut entitled Nomad. NPR calls the pairing “inspired,” noting that Bombino’s “sound and style are alluring on a global scale.” Before 2009, Bombino was only known in Saharan Africa, where his career consisted of regionally available cassettes and participation in local bands. In the last few years, he’s begun to garner a following aboard, selling out venues across the U.S. in his first tour here and receiving praise from outlets including Pitchfork and NPR. The album has already earned four star reviews from Mojo and the Financial Times.

4 stars out of 5 - "The album is crunchy and gritty when it needs to be, but with a wealth of fine detail." - Financial Times
