The Shape Of Jazz To Come is Ornette Coleman’s 1959 masterpiece and debut for Atlantic Records. It marks his first album featuring his working quartet of Don Cherry, Charlie Haden and Billy Higgins. In 2012, it was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.
